Angourie Point is a world class right hand point break near Yamba on the NSW North Coast. It peels over a rocky boulder bottom from a small rocky outcrop linked to the shore by a sand finger, delivering long, high performance walls and barrels.

The Break Sections
The wave typically runs 50–150 m with a few distinct zones:
* Outside / Take-off: Critical, often slabby drop off the reef shelf into a steep, hollow section (sometimes compared to a mini reverse Teahupo’o).
* Mid-point: Longer, more forgiving walls that open up for turns and occasional barrels.
* Inside: Faster, shallower end section that can throw a final tube before the rocks; known locally as a high-commitment zone on bigger days.

Best Conditions
* Season: Autumn is prime (especially April); consistent from March to October on SE groundswells.
* Swell: Northeast to southeast (east/northeast makes it steeper and hollower; larger south swells produce fatter, more sloped walls).
* Wind: Southwest to west (offshore).
* Tide: Low to mid preferred.
