Cactus is a legendary remote reef-break complex on the far western Eyre Peninsula of South Australia, near Penong. A cluster of powerful lefts and rights over shallow reef that deliver high-quality, often hollow waves in a stark desert setting. Advanced to expert only remote, sharky, and demanding.

The Break Sections
* Cactus main left: The namesake peak. Heavy, grinding left that bowls and runs along the reef. Works best in the mid size range and can close out on bigger south swells.
* Caves: The standout right hander. High performance, often slabby barrels that fire on solid S–SW swell with clean N–NE winds.
* Castles & other nearby peaks and additional lefts and rights in the same bay system. Different angles and intensity depending on swell direction and size, offering options when the main peaks are maxed or closed out.

Best Conditions
* Season: Autumn through winter (March–September) for the strongest and most consistent Southern Ocean groundswells.
* Swell: South to southwest.
* Wind: North to northeast / east (offshore).
* Tide: Mid to high preferred.
