Margaret River Main Break is the iconic, world class reef break at the heart of the Margaret River region in Western Australia and the long-time venue for the Margaret River Pro. A powerful, highly consistent A-frame peak that handles serious size, it produces long, high performance walls both left and right and is widely regarded as one of the best competition waves in the country.

The Break Sections
* Main Break / Surfers Point peak: The primary A frame. The right is shorter, steeper and punchier; the left is the money wave longer, more rippable walls that improve as the swell builds and can run for a long way.  
* Southsides: The peak just to the south. Offers additional lefts and rights that help spread the crowd and still deliver solid walls on the same swell.  
* Nearby options: The Box (heavy, shallow slab to the right) and Rivermouth (punchy beach peaks closer in) sit within the same bay for different challenges or smaller days.

Best Conditions  
* Season: Autumn through winter (March–September) for the strongest and most consistent SW–W groundswells.  
* Swell: Southwest to west (long-period preferred).  
* Wind: East to southeast / northeast (offshore).  
* Tide: Works on most tides; mid often preferred for best shape.
