Middleton Beach is a consistent, user friendly beach and point break on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula, between Port Elliot and Goolwa. A long stretch of sand produces multiple peaks, while the point itself offers longer, more organised walls. Popular with beginners, intermediates, longboarders and improvers thanks to its forgiving nature and reliable swell.

The Break Sections
* Middleton Point: The main right hand and occasional left point section. Longer, workable walls that peel over mixed sand and rock fun and relatively mellow on the right swell.
* Main beach peaks: Shifting lefts and rights along the long sandy stretch. Ideal for learners and those seeking shorter, softer rides.
* Inside / reform sections: Softer inside peaks that remain rideable even when the outer banks are messy or the swell is smaller.

Best Conditions
* Season: Year-round consistency, with solid Southern Ocean groundswells through autumn and winter.
* Swell: South to southwest / southeast.
* Wind: North to northeast offshore.
* Tide: Works on most tides; mid to high often preferred.
