Berawa Beach is a consistent beach break in the Canggu area of Bali, sitting just south of Batu Bolong. A sand-bottom setup with shifting peaks that produce both lefts and rights, it is one of the better intermediate waves in the region more punchy than pure beginner spots yet more forgiving than the heavier Canggu reefs.
The Break Sections
* The Peak (main beach): The central zone. Soft to punchy lefts and rights that work across a range of sizes; longer walls appear when the banks align.
* Northern peak (in front of the beach clubs): Often the better shaped and longer right-handers on solid swell.
* Southern end / Ledge area: Can offer steeper, more critical takeoffs and occasional short barrels closer to the rocks on lower tides.
Best Conditions
* Season: Dry season (April–October) for the most consistent SW groundswells; also works well in the shoulder months.
* Swell: Southwest to south.
* Wind: Northeast to east offshore in the mornings.
* Tide: Mid preferred (low can close out, high fattens the wave).
