Lance's Right -  Hollow Trees HT’s, is a legendary right-hand reef break on Sipura Island in the Mentawais. It is famous for its "mechanical" perfection, producing world-class barrels that are as photogenic as they are challenging.

 

Wave Profile

• The Barrel: The wave is known for a steep, fast takeoff that leads immediately into a hollow tube.

• The Surgeon’s Table: This is the most dangerous part of the break—a very shallow, sharp section of reef at the end of the wave. Surfers must often exit early to avoid hitting the coral.

• Consistency: It is highly reliable, performing best with a South-Southwest swell and Northwest winds.

• Skill Level: Generally for advanced surfers, especially when the swell is large, due to the speed of the wave and the shallow reef.

• Timing: The best conditions occur during the dry season (April to October), with mid-to-high tides offering the safest amount of water over the reef.

• Access: Most visitors stay in Katiet Village, which offers everything from luxury surf resorts to local budget guesthouses.
