Bingin is a short, hollow left hand reef break on Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, nestled between Impossibles and Dreamland. Famous for its photogenic, mechanical barrels over shallow coral, it offers intense but relatively short rides. Strong intermediate to advanced territory and one of the most popular waves on the Bukit.
The Break Sections
* Main Bingin peak: The primary takeoff. Steep drop into a consistent, hollow tube that runs for 30–50 m before the end section. Best at mid tide.
* Greedies / Mini-Pipeline: Slightly inside or adjacent sections that can throw shorter, punchy barrels, popular with groms and on higher tides.
* Bingin Rights: A softer right-hander nearby that works on low tide and offers a more accessible option when the left is too heavy or crowded.
Best Conditions
* Season: Dry season (April–October), peaking June–August.
* Swell: Southwest to south / south-southwest head-high to overhead ideal.
* Wind: Southeast to east sheltered by the cliffs, holds light onshore well.
* Tide: Mid preferred (low produces heavier, shallower barrels; high can fatten it out).
