Gas Bay is a quality right-hand reef break just south of Margaret River Main Break (Surfers Point) in Western Australia. It picks up solid swell, produces hollow, workable walls over a shallow ledge, and is a reliable intermediate-to-advanced option that can hold bigger sizes than some nearby spots while remaining slightly less crowded than the main peak.

The Break Sections
* Gas Bay main reef: The primary right-hander. Super sucky takeoff over rocks into a defined peak that runs along a shallow ledge, offering barrel sections and fast walls before easing onto a sandbank toward the beach.
* Grunters: Nearby on the point closer to the carpark. A powerful, challenging right that handles 4–8 ft+ with heavy sections and occasional barrels.
* Beach / inside peaks: Softer reform waves closer in on smaller days or for a change of pace.

Best Conditions
* Season: Autumn through spring (main window March–October), with consistency year-round.
* Swell: South-southwest to southwest / west.
* Wind: East to southeast / northeast (offshore).
* Tide: Mid to high preferred.
