Lennox Head is a world-class right-hand point break on the NSW North Coast, about 20 minutes south of Byron Bay. It peels along a long basalt boulder headland and is widely regarded as one of Australia’s finest and most powerful right-handers.

The Break Sections
The wave can run for 150–500 m on good days, with multiple take-off zones along the point:
* The Point (outer) Steep, critical take-off off the rocks into fast, hollow walls and barrel sections. This is the main high-performance zone.
* Mid-point sections: Long, rippable walls that offer multiple turns and occasional tubes as the wave reels down the headland.
* Inside / Reef end: Shallower, faster sections that can link all the way toward the beach when the swell and sand align.

Best Conditions
* Season: Autumn to winter (March–August), with the most consistent quality from May to July on southeast groundswells.
* Swell: South to southeast (southeast is ideal) also works on east and northeast pulses.
* Wind: Southwest to west (offshore).
* Tide: Mid to rising preferred; works across most tides depending on size.
